This is the movie of ÄSsä.

I shot this Idon'tBeliveable movie
with my exellent samsung camera.
The camera don't have any loop,
nor lsd-screen,
from where to see what is filming.
You need to trust youre instincs,
if taking pics, or shootting mows.

Tea and Tears

The movie is a sad story of... well tea and tears.
My first idea was to add subtitles to the movie so to make the plot more clear for the audience. But in the end I decided that the pictures could speak for themselves.
There weren´t any other actors at hand so I played the two roles myself.

For this short movie I used a compact camera (Nicon coolpix 5200).

I putted the camera under a glass covered by ink. The room was on the darkness and just a little light was above the glass. Than, I started to shoot and to take off the ink from the surface with two sticks...the first aim was to find a way to make a "live" draw without showing the hands.

For the sound and I decided to take this part of 1 minute from a song ("Brazilian sun" by CocoRosie) because I thought that it could fix well and I started to edit both in FCP till them were coordinated...actually I didn't made a storyboard or a kind of plan for this work, I just started to try different things and like a work in progress I did it...

first snow

It was a first snow in Helsinki...
This video was extremely spontaneous.
We use Canon Digital compact camera.
Firstly we cut movie from beginning to fit in 1 min in Final Cut Pro, add title and credits.
Movie has a very strong, loud sounds and we suggested to make it quietly in some parts in our movie and added some sound effects( such as Ambient Noise Effect06, Jeremy helm Scream, Andy helm Scream) in program Sound Track Pro.

I thought of the beginning of the cinema. The first films were just like ours: simple and short. The moving image was a wonder itself. It still is - in my opinion. One of the greatest names of early cinema was Charlie Chaplin. A tramp who wanted to share smiles and just be a good guy. So, now you know.

I used a small Canon digicompact to shoot and FCP to finalize it. The musical bed is actually an old test of mine. For that I used GarageBand. I wish I had more time to play with it. Oh, by the way I think I shot this film ten times before I got what I had wanted to achieve.

One shot movie

Making it:
"11" was filmed with a Canon compact digicamera.
I was both filming and acting my self at the same time, wich was not so easy.

Synopsis:
It is shot in middle of reed in late autumn. Movie is showing a human touch in nature and passing of time.
